Determination of athenticity of plant foods by molecular techniques
Plášková, Anna ; Mikulíková, Renata (referee) ; Němcová, Andrea (advisor)
The aim of presented diploma thesis was to determination of authenticity of fruit baby foods for early infant feeding using molecular methods. In the experimental part, isolation kit was used for isolation of plant DNA from fruits (strawberry, apricot, raspberry, apple) and from six commercial fruit products for children. Isolated DNA was characterized and verified using PCR methods with primers specific for plant rDNA (ITS2). Specific primer pairs were designed to amplify DNA for the detection of one fruit species. Primer specificity was assessed with four fruit species. A mixture of fruit puree from the two fruits was used to determine the sensitivity of the multiplex PCR assay. Six commercial fruit products were evaluated to verify the applicability of the multiplex PCR assay. The methodology of molecular detection of fruit DNA by qPCR and multiplex qPCR (duplex) includes approaches, which enable to detect two fruits (strawberry-raspberry, apricot-apple) in one reaction and thus reduces time and money requirements.

Use of Raspberry Pi in the home
Müller, Jan ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This work is devoted to description of Raspberry Pi computers, their commissioning and verification of their functionality by the author. The first part deals with the basic introduction of Raspberry Pi single-board computers, the Raspberry Pi Foundation and a short history of computer development. Three competing products of the present time are also described. In the practical part, the author describes how to get the Raspberry Pi computer to work for common computer users using the Raspbian operating system and memory card and everything is validated by the author. In the last phase of the work, the use of Raspberry Pi is described for household monitoring and for monitoring of various variables. The author of this work verifies that by connecting a Raspberry Pi camera module or various sensors such as temperature sensor or motion detection sensor. There will be briefly described other possibilities of using Raspberry Pi computers at the end of the thesis.

Crime novels or psychological prose? Judith W. Taschler's Sommer wie Winter and Die Deutschlehrerin.
BEYEROVÁ, Václava
The topic of this bachelor thesis is a literary analysis of books Sommer wie Winter and Die Deutschlehrerin written by Judith W. Taschler, the contemporary Austrian author. One of the essential questions, to which the thesis searches for an answer, is the genre classification of the above-mentioned books. It means whether they have basic features and characterization of a criminal novel or if they are considered a psychological prose. Besides the genre classification of the novels and their structural and content analysis, the work brings a comparison in the broader literary-historical context: It finds a certain affinity of the works, which were examined, with the literary movement named Anti-Heimatliteratur. There are some other parallels in development of Austrian literature, e.g. the use of psychoanalysis in the novel Sommer wie Winter or in the novel Malina by Ingeborg Bachmann.
